Project Title: Data Matching and Merging for Auto Industry Database

Project Description:
I am working on a research project that analyzes specific characteristics of the american auto industry. There are two kinds of data involved in this project:

1. Sales and inventory data (from 1988 to 2015 yearly data) – this data is already in a ready to use format.

2. Data that contains automobile characteristics like wheelbase length, power etc across different automobile segments (from 1988 to 2015 yearly data).

I need to merge these two data-sets on the brand of the car and the model name. While these two fields are clearly given in the sales data, it has to be created for the specs data.

I need someone to create these two fields in the specs data using excel commands and referring back to the sales data to cross check if the brand and model name match with the sales data.

I am looking for someone who is adept in data cleaning and Microsoft excel and can work on this project for the next three weeks.

Time is of the essence and we can discuss the timelines after initial discussion and looking at a few files.
